How to Apply Foundation

How to Apply Liquid Foundation

How to apply liquid foundation

How to apply liquid foundation

Liquid foundation is one of the ficklest products to apply. Ever. Not only is its basic application a chore, but even after you feel like you have a routine down, the smallest hiccup — anything from product buildup on your brush to a stray brush stroke — can throw off your entire look for the rest of the day.
But after years (literally, it has been that long) of trying different methods, brushes, and foundations, I think I finally have it down to a handful of simple steps that can make all the difference in the world.

1. Grab your favorite liquid foundation

Grab your favorite liquid foundation. Now, I almost always choose a full coverage one, as this method will sheer it down a bit, making it suitable for most skin types and needs. Pour or pump an amount about the size of a nickel or quarter (this will vary depending on the condition of your skin) onto the back of your hand or a palette.

2. Take a dense, flat-top brush

Take a dense, flat top brush (my favorite is the Sigma F80), and dip it into the foundation. Dot this onto your nose, the cheeks, around the borders of your face, and your chin (one dip should pick up enough product to lightly dot around all of these areas).

3. Starting at the nose…

Starting at the nose, stipple in small, tight areas, moving to the cheeks and the borders of the face, stippling product inward towards the center. Repeat this process for your chin.

4. With what is left on the brush…

With what is left on the brush, stipple over the area above your lips and below your mouth. Avoid the area where you get smile lines for now (this will look weird, but we’ll correct this malfeasance later.

5. If you regularly use foundation under your eyes…

This next step is only if you regularly use foundation under your eyes, rather than or in conjunction with concealer. If you don’t, skip to the next step. Take a bit of foundation on the outer edge of your brush, and dot lightly under the eyes, concentrating the product at the lower inner corners where your under-eyes are darkest. Stipple lightly over this area, taking the foundation applied under the eyes up and onto the eyelid and brow bone.

6. Stipple across your forehead and into the hairline

You should have about 1/3 of the product left. Take some on your brush, and stipple it across your forehead and into the hairline (almost as bad as the jawline is a blatant change in color at your hairline, which many people tend to neglect). Your entire face should now be covered (except for the small area around your smile lines).

7. Dot under your jaw line

Take the remainder of the product on your brush, and dot it under your jawline. Stipple this upwards to connect with the product on your face, and downwards slightly to fade it into your neck. Stipple lightly where your ears connect to your face.

8. Stipple all over your face

Stipple all over your face, using any excess product to deal with problem areas. This distributes the foundation evenly. You may now go over your smile line area, which will only be covered with a small amount of product, greatly reducing the chance of creasing.

9. Buff in a circular motion

After you have stippled all over your entire face once, lightly buff in small circular motions using the same brush. This blurs imperfections and removes any excess product, and melds the product with your skin, giving it a natural skin-like texture. Make sure to buff under your eyes, over your eyelids, and around your hairline to blend the product into the tight borders surrounding these areas. Keep buffing until the foundation starts to feel a bit tacky (it usually takes 2-3 passes over my entire face and under my jaw to get to this point).

10. Apply any cream face products now

Apply any cream face products (blush, highlighter, contour, etc.)

11. Let your foundation set

This step is crucial. Let the foundation set for 3-5 minutes. Take a tissue, and blot all over your face, avoiding the nose if you have large pores. Pay special attention to the eyelids, lines under the eyes, and the corners of the eyes (where excess product will definitely have creased and collected). If your foundation tends to set into your smile lines, you may wish to buff very lightly over this area once more using the same brush as before.

12. Apply loose powder with a puff

Apply loose powder with a puff, rolling and pushing it into the skin.

13. Finish with any other powders and blend

Apply any other powder products (blush, bronzer, contour, etc.), and blend well.
This may seem a tad complicated, but ignoring the setting times, this whole thing takes 5-7 minutes at most, and results in smooth, even, porcelain skin.
If you wish to sheer down this application even further, dampen your brush slightly before application to prevent excess product from being absorbed by the bristles. Make sure to always use a (relatively) clean brush for application (I tend to wash mine every 3-4 days) to avoid caking. And never forget to set and blot!

Glow your skin with Water therapy

Glow your skin with Water therapy
If you want a glowing skin or a healthier look, taking water might just be the perfect solution to that.
There is a simple method to get constantly glowing skin, which is the water therapy. Though the name sounds technical, the process is just simple where you are asked to drink water at constant intervals. This therapy is based on the fact that 70% of body is made of water.

After strictly following the water therapy, you will be assured to get a permanently glowing skin.

A.     Removal of toxins from the body
Drinking plenty of water helps to flush out all the bad toxins from the blood, allowing you to have a fresh and radiant skin. The first things in the morning drink two glasses of water.
i.                    This will help in producing new blood and muscle cells.
ii.                  Your lymphatic system gets completely cleaned
iii.                 They fight the infections in your body.
iv.                 The more water your drink, the more you perspire, In this process you will also remove the dirt and dead cells through sweating.
v.                   Flushing out the toxins also helps to solve constipation issues. All these benefits positively affect the skin health and help in getting the glow.
B.      Promotes blood circulation
Drinking 6 – 7 glasses of water per day slowly improves the metabolism of your body. As the blood is oxygenated well, your skin appears fresh and glowing. This will help to increase oxygen and nutrients in body which in turn imparts the glow in your skin. You can also consume some fluid filled fruits like watermelon, grapes, kiwi, oranges and others to enhance the water intake.
C.      Promotes a youthful look
·         Your skin gets more suppleness and does not stay saggy anymore.
·         The dark circles on your skin are a result of lack of rest and also lack of water in your body, drinking water in high amount clears the dark circles and makes your eyes bright than ever.
·         If you have pimples, they breakout soon and also get healed without leaving the dark spots.
·         The skin elasticity will be under control while you follow the process, there is no peeling or cracking of skin and also prevention of cutaneous aging is possible.
D.     Hydration
Due to increase in the water intake the water stays in the body and skin without getting evaporated. This avoids problems like premature aging and pimples on your skin. So water therapy is a great natural remedy in getting a beautifully healthy skin. If you have a dry skin, you can follow the method to completely get rid of fine lines and flakes on your skin. The intake of warm water works best for an acne prone skin.

There is smooth functioning in your body systems when there is good amount of water in your body. Drink lots of water every day to keep yourself away from ailments and also lose the cellulite stored under your skin. You can drink the water mixed with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar that promotes the removal of cellulite.

How to Stay Relaxed

Hello Beauties and Handsome people we have decided to talk on an important issue which is; How to Stay Relaxed. We like to define a relax man or woman as a beautiful and confident person who attract positive ideas and welcome new challenges.
Knowing how to relax is vital for ensuring your health and well-being, as well as restoring the passion and joy in your life. Allowing stress to affect you can lead to depression, illness, weight gain and a general sense of malcontent.

Follow along after the jump to learn how to get your anxiety under control and relax.

A.   Accepting Stress

Recognize stress. Obviously, some stress is good for us — it adds interest, excitement and motivation to life, in the right balance. It is when the level of stress in your life causes you to put up with things that are harming or distressing you constantly that you risk sliding into being too stressed. You could be too stressed if:
·         All you do and think about is work, non-stop. It might be your own business, a career, a salaried position, a stay-at-home mom or -dad position, or anything else that is soaking up your time and life one hundred percent, and this over-concentration is leaving you passionless, disappointed, unhappy, and unfulfilled.
·         Accept that sleep is a very important part of life, Sleep restores and refreshes your body in myriad ways that cannot happen when you're awake. Block out times in your day to relax.

B.   Relaxing Your Body

Practice breathing techniques. Slow down your breathing and actively concentrate on it. This is always the easiest way to self-calm, provided you remember to resort to it.
·         Do belly breathing: where you put your hands on you stomach and when you breath in: you try to push away your hands, and when you breath out you make your hands go towards you
·         Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
·         Inhale deeply as you count to five, hold your breath for five seconds, then exhale slowly, counting to five. Do this ten times to relax your muscles and nerves. As you breathe out, visualize the stress and tension leaving your body through your breath.

Make healthy dietary choices. Eating well can help your body feel balanced and healthy, making you less susceptible to spikes in blood sugar and feelings of anxiety. Try to practice moderation in these areas:
  • Avoid the excessive pastries or sodas. Carbohydrates, such as pasta, convert easily to sugar. These can cause severe ups and downs in your blood sugar and lead to agitation, upsetting your body's ability to efficiently utilize energy.
  • Avoid excessive caffeine. Too much caffeine can make you jumpy and irritable. Try not to drink caffeine after 1 or 2 in the afternoon, and keep your morning intake moderate and steady across every day
  • Get a cup of water. Drinking a cup of water at once brings a fresh energy to your body and give a chance to your brain to take a small break in thinking, thus allows you to find a new view on current stressful situation.
  • Eat fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains that are free of refined sugar, such as apples, grapes, carrots, broccoli, brown rice or whole grain breads.
  • Eat plenty of low-calorie protein, such as chicken, fish, whole grains, legumes, dark leafy vegetables or low-fat dairy.
  • Take a multivitamin Some vitamins relive stress. Vitamin B and Vitamin D are especially good for relaxation.

Exercise every day. This is the best-known, scientifically-proven way to significantly reduce stress. You'll be amazed at how much easier it is to overcome stress if you exercise regularly.

Try Massage. Go to your local spa for a great massage. Undoing the body knots is a good pathway to undoing the mind knots.

C.    Relaxing Your Mind

Positive thinking isn't about wishful or dreamer thinking; it's about making the most of the situations that you find yourself in and avoiding any tendency to add negative overlays.
·         Use visualization techniques. While you might not feel calm and relaxed, Picture beaches, lying down resting, going for a hike, etc., to help you stay relaxed.
use affirmations to change your outlook on life and stop yourself from always jumping to negative conclusions.  Use positive, believable, and caring words about yourself.

Think logically, and restrain your emotions. If you learn to think more sequentially and logically when you're stressed, you might find that solutions become more apparent. Change your ways. If the problem is something you're doing, then change the way you act or react.

D.  Find a quiet place when you are feeling overwhelmed and pamper yourself.
·
Draw a warm bath.
·Lie on your bed or sofa. Play some soft music or nature CDs. Relax listening to ocean waves, waterfalls or birds.
·         Imagine a personal paradise.

·     Stop feeling guilty. Guilt is a potent source of stress. Get rid of the source of guilt by behaving yourself; stop engaging in behaviors that make you feel guilty. Seek professional help, if necessary, but don't allow destructive behavior to escalate and sabotage your life and health.

Learn to prioritize. Make a list of tasks for the day. Organize the list by importance, and be proactive and take care of things before they become a big problem.

Practice meditation. Remove all thoughts and emotions from your mind by concentrating on your breathing. Meditation takes you into focusing on your whole being as a form of relaxation, rather than just focusing on one area of your body as any other relaxation technique tends to do.

Smile and laugh. is the best medicine. Rent, buy or see a hilarious movie. This is guaranteed to help. Smiling and laughing releases endorphins, which fights stress, helps to relax and reminds you that life is more than just work. Even if it feels strange at first, make it a point to smile more often.

Spend time with people who radiate warmth and with whom you can truly connect. Contact with positive-thinking and joyous people broadens your capacities enormously and helps you to feel more relaxed and happy

Give Hugs. Go on the positive offensive and reach through to people who seem down and negative. Caring touch reduces stress and promotes relaxation. Say hello and goodbye to your friends and family members with a hug, and don't be afraid to comfort someone with a hug, or ask for a hug when you're feeling overwhelmed.

10 MAKEUP TRICKS EVERY WOMAN NEEDS TO KNOW

We all put on makeup (at least some of the time), but is your technique yielding the best possible results? Here, Kimberly Soane, the director of artistry at Bobbi Brown, offers up some simple pointers to make sure we're using everything from concealer to bronzer to mascara right.

Never put concealer or foundation on your eyelids as a base, it will cause your eye makeup to crease.

Use your fingers to apply your foundation if you want sheer coverage and a brush if you more polished, medium to full coverage.

Always apply powder where you are shiniest first, which it usually your T-zone, with a very light dusting everywhere else.

You should put bronzer on your neck, face, and chest to even out your skin tone. Be sure to take a step back and make sure everything is the same color.

When applying blush, first smile, then start on the apple of the cheek, blend the blush back towards the top of the ear, then down toward the jawline.

Always apply your brow pencil or powder to the upper portion of the eyebrow to lift your face up.

You want to make sure your lipstick is not too defined at your cupid's bow (the top of your lip), and that it goes all the way out to the inner corners of your mouth. Be sure to press down hard as you apply.

Always start with a base shadow without any shimmer that matches the lightest skin tone on your face and apply all over your lid up to the brow. You should use this base shadow to make sure the darker shadows used on your lid up to the crease are properly blended.

Instead of looking straight ahead at the mirror, get as close to it as possible, stick your head up and bring your chin toward the mirror. You want to look down as you apply, starting at the inner corner and making sure to go all the way out to the fold on the outside of the eye.

You don't want to do quick soft motions when you apply mascara. Instead, jam the wand into the root of the lash and do zigzag motions as you go up.
